Shomie Das has served as a teacher
and headmaster during a career that
has spanned over 40 years. He has
served as the Headmaster of The Doon
School. He had earlier taught in Gordonstoun
School.
After his earlier education at The
Doon School, he graduated from St.
Xavier's College and Cambridge University.
After working at Gordonstoun School
he was Principal of Mayo College from
1969 to 1974. He then became Headmaster
of the Lawrence School, Sanawar in
1974 and held this position until
1988. He served as Headmaster of The
Doon School from 1988 to
1995. |

| Arvind
Saxena |
Arvind
Saxena is SchoolTrainer’s Technology
Advisor. Arvind has extensive experience
in information technology and its
use in the corporate environment.
He is involved in quantitative techniques,
financial modeling, workflow systems,
IT security and corporate education
at SchoolTrainer. Arvind also assists
in client development.
Arvind was with management consultants
McKinsey & Co. for 12 years. At
McKinsey, Arvind focused on the firm's
IT strategy, technology standards,
analytics, financial modeling, and
corporate education. He managed a
team of analysts who assisted McKinsey
clients and staff to address analytical
and IT-related issues. Arvind has
maintained an ongoing role at McKinsey
& Co. through the development
and execution of an e-learning program.
He also continues to provide training
in analytics and financial modeling
to McKinsey consultants.
Arvind hold a degree in Chemical Engineering
from the Indian Institute of Technology
(IIT), New Delhi, and obtained an
MS in Computer Science from the School
of Advanced Technology at SUNY Binghamton.

Grewal |
Elena
Grewal is a PhD student in the Economics
of Education at the Stanford University
School of Education. She received
a BA from Yale University in Ethics,
Politics, and Economics (with distinction).
Her areas of interest are school finance,
teacher labor markets, and student
achievement gaps. She is also interested
in the role of the private sector
in reducing achievement gaps, hence
her involvement in SchoolTrainer.
Prior to joining Stanford, she worked
as a Research Assistant at the Institute
For Research on Education Policy and
Practice (IREPP).
