LCM stands for Lowest Common Multiple.  Given any two or more whole numbers, the LCM is the lowest of all numbers, which can be fully divided by all the given numbers.  In the case of numbers 4 and 15, the lowest number which can be divided by both 4 and 15 is 60.  Hence LCM is 60.

If the given numbers, for example, are 15,24 and 36, the lowest number which can be divide by all of them is 360.  Hence LCM would be 360.
